Unfortunately I don’t have a source on this image, but this is just crazy. I love how characters from the old testament live hundreds of years, shame we can’t do that in this day and age..

    There is a sad tendency in rational people to drop rapidly to abuse when critiquing the opposition. This seems to be inherent, and defines man as both rational and irrational. And we seem to need to be both. Whoever is top-dog laughs loudest, so in much of the West atheists laugh at religionists. This would not be possible in such as the Arab countries where irreligion and abuse could end in death. Different top dog.

    One could laugh at the Big Bang theory: first there was absolutely nothing, then it exploded, and we got the universe. Rational? I think not! Is there anything more irrational than evolutionary theory? Through chance, accident, long time periods and process for which we can have no primary evidence for (i.e. genetic), one species became another.

    Man only pretends to be rational. Have you ever met a truly rational person?

      Look at the Bible and the order of evolution, they say the same thing. The Bible may be divinely inspired but was not typed out by God. Primitive man told the stories the best they could with the knowledge available. The Bible tells who and why; science tells the process. God did it and evolution was the method.

        Evolution is not the method that God used. Otherwise there would have been death and suffering before Adam was created. Adam’s disobedience is what caused death and suffering not before. God said after each 24hr period day “it is Good” Would God have said that if he created death and suffering before Adam’s sin.
        The Hebrew dictionary says that the word day “Yom” has many meanings other than 24hr period of time. Someday “Yom” I will come and see you etc. If you want it to mean a 24 hr. period of time you surround it with a beginning, an end and a number. In Genesis it says “and there was morning, there was night on the first day. So the writer meant for it to be 6 24hr days. Look at 2Tim 3:16-17 and nothing was written that is not God breathed. Look at Proverbs 3:5-7 Don’t trust in the worlds view but only in Gods view. Hebrews 11:3 The only Big Band theory was “Bang” God said and it was in 6 days.

    I certainly hope that “dr” is short for something other than “doctor” given your ridiculous logic.

    First there was nothing, then there was god? My, that sounds far more sound as a theory!

    Then you attack evolution? You must be joking, evolution is one of the most solid and fluid theories humans have ever come up with, it explains just about everything relating to concepts like time.

    You think evolution is false, if you actually are a doctor or scientist, you are in a tiny minority of people who actually subscribe to that belief.

    Dr John Sutherland :

    Funny story, unless you’re part of a particularly large sect, like say, Catholicism, you are in a minority. You can claim all, you want that different Christian sects are all believing in the same god, but clearly you are not, because you will happily disown Mormons, snake handlers, and other sects that don’t quite follow your strict beliefs. Hell, in Ireland, if you’re a protestant, you’re going to hell.. (and vice versa).

    There is no unity in believers, in fact, there is nothing but division.

    You are all minorities.

      Because that is what man has chosen over GOD, you should not happily disown mormons or anybody, but show everybody love and if you have two shirts give to the man with none, if you have excess food give to the man with none, god doesnt have strict rules he just wants us to be happy for the right reasons people have made there own theories on god instead of listening to gods only begotten son, the savior jesus christ, if everyone understood and accepted who they were and had no shame wouldnt that be the perfect world? but we have decisions and no one is perfect we all mess up but that is why jesus died for us so we can repent and be happy and understand life isnt fair but through our trials and tribulations is how we grow

    When truly understood, the Second Law of Thermodynamics by itself is enough to refute the entire theory of evolution. Look it up.

    It’s amazing that those same techniques (ie: carbon dating) have shown that we have 15 billion year old rocks in a universe they say is 8-9 billion years old. It’s a lot easier to believe in creation than evolution. That’s because creation is true and evolution is not.

    I recently read that the sun can have an effect on atoms even carbon atoms and change the decay rate. This means that any kind of dating using radioactive decay could be worthless over long stretches of time. Hence, we are back to the possibility of a 4000 year old earth.

    A team at Purdue University needed to generate a string of random numbers, a surprisingly tricky task that is complicated by the fact that whatever method you use to generate the numbers will have some influence on them. Physics professor Ephraim Fischbach decided to use the decay of radioactive isotopes as a source of randomness. Although the overall decay is a known constant, the individual atoms would decay in unpredictable ways, providing a random pattern.

    That’s when they discovered something strange. The data produced gave random numbers for the individual atoms, yes, but the overall decay wasn’t constant, flying in the face of the accepted rules of chemistry.

    What makes me laugh the most is the irony in the conflict between the field of science and Christianity (Notice: I did not say religion). When in all truth both go hand-in-hand. The reason many scientist become athiest is they can not apprehend the concept of evidence. They are mislead or decieved and can not see the bigger picture. When one reads the first few versus of Genesis chapter 1. You can already see math and science in its greates glory. Gen 1 v1-5: v1 “IN the beginning ‘God’ ‘created’ the heaven and the earth. v2 ” ‘And ‘the earth ‘was ‘without form, and void; and darkness ‘was upon the ‘face of the deep. And ‘the Spirit of God moved upon the ‘face of the waters.” v3 “And God ‘said, “Let there ‘be light:” and there ‘was light.” v4 “And God ‘saw the lgiht, that it was ‘good: and God ‘divided the light from the darkness.” v5 “And God ‘called the light Day, and darkness He ‘called Night. And the ‘evening and the morning were the ‘first day.”

    The use of single quotes is to show emphasis on the text. In the very first event you can see that God as in the context of the Creator created 2 things the heaven and the earth, however there is a third item that is not mentioned but is implied and this is the idea or concept of time even though he doesn’t mention it until the 4th verse. Time comes into context in relation to the use of the word created, meaning past tense. From a scientific point of view especially in Physics and Chemistry “Heaven” would be Space itself and “earth” would be Matter, not Earth as in dry land which comes later in verse 10 or the third day. In the next part God describes the earth as not having any shape or contour “without form” and that it is empty and infinite which the word void implies. The phrase ‘and darkness was upon the face of the deep” shows everything at this point is 0 degrees Kelvin or absolute frozen because there is no light and without light there is no heat and it is extremely cold. Either in distance or in size it is infinite because of the term face of the deep. The next part we can see that God’s Spirit is moving and this shows motion and force, which are both key concepts in phsyics. What needs to be taken into account is what he is moving through, not where he is moving to since God is everywhere and in all things, and this medium he is moving through is the face of the waters. Well for the face of the waters, doesn’t the waters or earth reside in space or in heaven? If we look at the universe now we understand that 90% of it is mostly Hydrogen, the very first element on the Periodic Chart. The simplest form which has 1 proton and 1 electron and 0 neutrons in the natural state. If Hydrogen has 1 proton it is an isotope. This accounts for all the stars today. And we here on Earth see Hydrogen as a gas for a natural state of matter, but if you make it colder it becomes a liquid “waters” and colder yet a solid “ice” which is still waters. Finally, the third verse where “God said let there be light” is probably the most important aspect. He spoke light into existance. First you have to imagine an infinite block of hydrogen ice, this accounts for the earth that he created which is the same waters his spirit was moving through not earth or dirt that we consider as dry land, the former doesn’t appear until verse 9 and 10 which would be the third day. Why is waters plural, becaue there is more then one. He doesen’t specify how many, so this leads to the consent of there being an infinite amount. So we are at the point where he did an action “said” which is past tense for speak this is the first form of energy which is Sound and his voice being so immense in Power, another key term in Phsyics which also deals with “Energy”, He brought light into existance. However the light he brought into existance doesn’t show up until the 4th day and we are still in the 1st day. Now pick any arbitrary point in space, and don’t think of space as in dimensions for in his kingdom it has infinite dimensions, and that we only reside in the 3rd demension. This arbitray point consists of all points at this moment in time and since the block of ice is infinite and that God is everywhere and in all things, when he spoke imagine his voice going out in all directions like a spear but imagine the spear’s edge having the patter of the vibrations of the words “Let There Be Light”. His voice being sound and each syllable to each word, even each consonent and vowel has its own ring or wave form and His voice being so immense that it litterly seperated everything which was all the infinte atoms of frozen hydrogen. Now these atoms are not moving at the speed of his voice or the speed of Sound, but at the speed of Light and in all directions. Now there are two forms of energies moving through the heaven. Sound is moving in a wave patter at a semi constant speed varying on the frequencey of the sounds of the words and the notes or harmonics of his voice, don’t forget God is not alone, he is a Trinity, and he has his angles at this point too. So when he spoke things into existance there were many voices saying it as in a Chorus with perfect harmony and we were there with him too, we just don’t remember it, because we are in the flesh not the spirit body. And the second form of energy being Light is traveling in beams or rays at a constant velocity, but in all directions. He then noticed that the light was good, so he seperated it or divided it from the darkness. Giving you Night and Day, this being the first Day. You have to notice that Night did come before day since there initially was no light and that it was dark over the deep cold. The he brought light into existance, he didn’t create light. Read the words carefully He created the heaven and the earth. And in the Hebrew for the word heaven, it is always in the plural, really meaning heavens. That is why I said that there are an infinte amount of spacial demensions. He said let there be light or another words become light.
    This is why it is the fastest known traveling thing in the cosmos, second fastest in my opinion, God being the fastest, but you can not measure him in all his glory.

    So to sum this all up and to make a conclusion on my first statement of why many scientis don’t believe in God or miracles, is they need to see evidence and both sides of the equation has to balance out. And since God is 1: Eternal, 2: Infitite, and 3: Spirit. You can not measure him. You can however measure his Creation, but only a segment or partion of it such as a scene, environment or, local system, but you can not measure it in full, because it is infinite. They think the cosmos are about 13 – 15 billion years old, well this is there first mistake. Time is Eternal there is no beginning or ending to Time, and since the size and amount of dimensions is Infinite and for size either being how small or large, this makes the Universe a fractal. And fractals are one of the most amazing phenomenons in mathematics. Another aspect that makes the big bang theory fail is according to it there was nothing, then by chance and explosion and then things became and do to extreme conditions a planet was formed and by more extreme circumstances things evolved then we showed up. No, he created, he saw it and said it was good. It is great and wonderous. The other reason they struggle with it is because of the logical/mathematical background, i think jealousy creeps into their sub-conscience when it comes to math, because they don’t want to admit that God is superior to them in it. Rember that Jesus on Earth was a Master Carpenter. To make furniture and carve out the wood by adding designs uses a lot of math skills “LOL”. This is not to discrimate against them, but mabye to help bring the to the Light and see the bigger picture.

    This may seem a bit odd, but if you want a mathematical equation to describe God and his Creation in its Fullness. Then I call it the Infitely Unified Sequence or Eternal Unity Series Theroem. I will use a bit of c++ function convention here… Universe will be a user defined class and universe will be the object instantiaion.

    int main( int argc, char** agrv ) {

    void createHeavensAndEarth( Heavens &space, Earth &Matter );

    Universe* pUniverse = new Universe( Heavens space, Earth matter );

    // This is where we are now in time with regards to God’s 7 Day Creation
    // We are still in the 6th day. He hasn’t rested yet. He is still Creating
    // And the Cosmos are still expanding.

    case SEVENTH: {

    return 0;

    don’t try to run this cause it wont work, 1st c++ needs to know the class object definition to create a new one, and all of the pUniverse->GodSpeaks(“”); function
    calls creates an automatic new class that a user doesn’t… c++ can not handle this.
    If you notice I used new operator and didn’t call any delete operators. In a computer
    this would cause a memory leak. In the cosmos the construct is INFINITE!. Another note is the for loop inside of the createHeaveAndEarth() function call is an infinite one, this is run in a seperate thread and an infinite about of dimensions and atoms are created. This is all done before he goes into the first day and Says “Let there be Light” and for ever function call that has the word God in it would be in its own run time executable thread. But this just gives you the basic frame work of Gods application of Universal Existance. besides there would be billions of other function calls that happen on each of his days. And Trillions to the Trillionth power on the sixth day once man has been created.

    God refers to one of his days as like a 1000 years to us. This refers to the age of men, since the fall of men starting with Adam, he was denied to live 1000 years, but was close around 930years. If you pay attention to creation, the sun, moon and stars didn’t appear until the 4th day of creation. Each of the first 5 days, could be a billion years each. We don’t know how long. Rember that God is Eternal and time to us even a million or a billion years is as but a moment or a second to him.

      I understand what you are trying to explain and although it may sound logical to some people, it is not correct. The Scriptures tell you that we were created in SIX literal days in the OT. Read the 10 Commandments, where God Himself tells you to honor the 7th Day, the Sabbath; is the Sabbath 1,000 years? No. So, each day COULD NOT HAVE BEEN 1,000 years LOL – Even Jesus, in The NT Tells us so.

      In order to better understand our creator God, it is better to first study His Word more carefully as every “page” in the Scriptures are “interconnected” and reveal to you not only the history of our creation but also God’s plan for us on this Earth and what He expects from us in order to be in His Kingdom. Even Jesus tells us so. Was he lying to us?

      I believe that our creator God means what He says, and says what He means in the Scriptures … and for a good reason too.

      We each have choices to make during our single lifetime (which, by the way, is but a “short dash” between 2 dates). I would believe in God’s Word before I would believe in other peoples opinions. Godspeed to you.

    It is ridiculous to question science. “Faith” in science is not required. Everything in science is a proven, data-forged, determinable fact. All of the “knowns” are “known” and thus are without err; indisputable. All of the unknowns can be resolved by mathematical analysis.

    Well, this year anyway.

    Is the Earth still flat? Nope. But it was, if you asked a scientist in 715 B.C.! Sun rotates around the Earth, right? Nope. But it did, if you asked a scientist in 435 B.C. Pluto is a planet, right? Nope. But it was if you asked a scientist in 1963 A.D.

    Evolution, global warming, no proof of “God”…all true, if you ask a scientist in 2013 A.D.! That all holds true – in SCIENCE!!!!

    Give it a few decades, and the backpeddling will begin. Gotta LUV them scientists! (And all the “science freaks” who blindly follow their “unreligios religion”!)

    Big glass of iced tea, some sunscreen, and lip balm for you , darlings! You’ll need it, where you’re heading!

    Hey, what does “B.C.” stand for, again? What calendar are you all using to calulate the year, and what is the reference date?

    Before the flood, people lived a lot longer because the Earth’s atmosphere was a lot different then after. For one, the atmosphere was much richer in the Oxygen % and the air “pressure” (not gravity) was at least 2 times higher. So, that meant, wounds would heal quicker and our bodies immune system were a lot stronger because of the higher content of Oxygen and no pollution to speak of. Besides, the DNA and RNA structures and functions were closer to the original’s creation design.

    Thank you Francis and William. The Bible also tells about the people with eyes that see but they don’t see and ears that hear but they don’t hear (Isaiah & Matthew). Pride screams so hard and are too focused on self to realise that humans can barely begin to fathom the God that IS LOVE. He made people and loves even the pride “to death” (Jesus on the cross)! He can’t wait to have an intimate relationship with you. But he’s the ultimate Gentleman – He gave everyone a FREE WILL. He respects your choice! Something our human race battle with. We want to control. Be right. Isn’t that the main mission of all occult activity? Control and manipulation is the opposite of true love! Only in being still and receptive to “the still small voice” that every human are born with, can we begin to hear, see, encounter and live towards the Truth.
    Facts can change in an instant, but the Truth stays the same. Infinitely! Truth (God’s Word) says (Proverbs): “As a man thinketh, so he is.” “Your words will determine your outcome”.
    Facts say: “You are born with certain character traits, and you cannot change that.” “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never harm me.”
    If these ‘facts’ were true, why are so many people on pills to handle the pain that words caused them? The truth (Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE) will always have your best interest at heart. The truth will set you free! And that doesn’t mean you aught not to use medication or go for therapy. I received trauma therapy and took medication as well and I got well again; Hallelujah for doctors! But listening to God’s Word is the only real path to inner peace, purpose and healing for life.
    God is the LOVER of your soul.
    And satan (the undercover enemy) of all that is good and beautiful, is the HATER of your sole. One thing satan loves doing is working behind the scenes to distract us from our real dreams and purpose in life. Causing stress, strife, unrest, sadness, sickness, despair, anger etc. He is THE Master of deception and father of lies. And if you keep yourself too busy with arguing about different people’s perceptions, satan is winning the battle to steel your peace and he’s silencing “that still small voice” that will never stop inviting you while you are still alive.

    I love science. I studied Siv. Engineering and do not ignore scientific facts. But the QUESTION IN THE END that stays the guideline for an inquiring mind (I have found) is: “Now that I have, according to MY imperfect knowledge, proven that evolution or Darwin’s theory or whatever it might be, is true or false…….then what??? Will it bring contentment, lasting joy, a feeling that I am being appreciated, honoured and loved unconditionally? What did I win? Did I win the battle just to find out in 10 years time that I lost the war? Did I fulfil my subconscious, primitive urge to control, to prove myself right? At what expense? And what is my driving FORCE? The LOVER of my soul or the HATER of my soul? Whom am I obeying?
    Shouldn’t I set some time apart to study “THE CONSEQUENCES OF CONDUCTING MY ACTIONS ACCORDING TO THE HATER OF MY SOUL’S CHARACTER”? Unknowingly falling into a trap that will set me up to become a bitter, sour, unthankful and lonely old man/woman?
    And to all ‘Christians’: what do we WIN by arguing with unbelievers and thinking that they will see God’s amazing LOVE in our ‘being RIGHT’? Ghandi rightly said: “If it wasn’t for Christianity, there would have been much more Christians”. Does being locked up and harsh treatment change a hardened criminal into a welfare worker? Someone who, after getting out of jail, suddenly sees the kindness in humanity and starts a soup kitchen or starts living a caring life? Google the stasistics.
    It is sad that so many parents live ‘religiously’, or rather act ‘religiously’ and their children can see right through the lie. If parents would just be REAL, then their kids would not fight God’s word. God is not the culprit, our broken human race is.
    I respect all of you and your opinions. Each one of you are special and part of a big puzzle. I know God looked at you in your mother’s womb and smiled. You were made to come and do something on earth, that ONLY you can do. The (sometimes) deeply hidden passion or dream in your heart, was planted there by HIM who made you. Go for it, live YOUR dream/passion….and let others live theirs. After all, its between you and the Lover of your soul one day to look at what you chose.

    Amazing. All this blather and still there will be no universal consensus. God has played a very cruel trick on us by dividing us so.

    Division only arrived the moment we disagreed. Truth is, unless you or I are standing in front of anything using our senses to apprehend it, faith is required to believe in it or the one’s testifying to it’s accuracy………No one has ever convinced a man who was clinically proven (science) to have cancer, who one day had it no more only to say….I was diagnosed with cancer, BUT JESUS……argue all you want, but my friend who was told he could not have children by SCIENTISTS (Doctors), after being prayed for….had NO MORE CANCER …..NO CHEMOTHERAPY or medicine to instigate, and had his first son on Christmas the following year……..I laugh at the ignorance of man!!! WHO ARE WE who have a beginning and end to question or even argue about something we cannot control or manipulate….. You didnt instigate your birth and you cant prevent the hour of your passing. Is this short life so important to you, that you would enter what could be an eternal one with a clenched fist instead of open arms. I argue Christians are happier here and after, and that Atheists only joy comes from thinking they won an argument that was over before they began……………….

    God created the world perfect. Humans sinned. God provided a path out of the destruction we earned. Silly lemmings reject it.

    But God still wants you to escape the punishment you (like all of us) earned.

    Ask Him to show you. He will.

    “Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

    But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

    But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.” (2 Peter 3:3-10)
