I don’t think he was stating it as “fact” and he’s made no attempt to hide his bias.
If you look at the date of his post you may notice it coincided with a time when the Israeli army was behaving especially aggressively to the Palestinians in Gaza.
He was most likely venting his frustration at that event by making that point.
Many people around the world were able to ignore what’s been happening to the Palestinian civilians because they simply can’t relate to them.
Maybe now that Israel’s aggression has branched out into international waters, people will begin to realise how psychotic they really are.
As for those who strap vests to a “child’s torso”, it is now you, alexandru, who reveals his ignorance.

I found this to be most certainly a trigger point and no doubt you have found yourself the destination of an angry mob. But in all reality the anger is not against Muslims, if you look more carefully you will see it is anger against the intolerant. To lump all in a certain religion as fanatical is simply using too porous a filter. The blog I write “Connecting the Dots” seems to have found its way into this topic simply because it was having an effect on so many other things. It is not the intent of the blog to cause friction but simply to connect the dots to see the bigger picture.
However I do agree that the threat of physical punishment including death has caused the Muslim faith to stagnate at the date of the birth of Islam. That was a much more violent time in human history and truly is out of place today. Even some of the arrogant views of the Catholic religion that are outdated are mostly ignored without punishment, and the church endures. That certainly shows the need for violence is no longer needed.
If you remove the intolerant people, you would be hard pressed to find any form of conflict. So by embracing that thought and not lumping all into the same group, It seems that would be the first step in the direction most want to go.

Wow. I thought America was based on the ideal that every person, regardless of religion, color, or gender, had the same rights under the law. Anyone who says Muslims are inferior due only to their religion is an unAmerican, Nazi bastard. Sure there are some bad Muslims who abuse their wives, but we shouldn’t judge an entire religion based on a few Muslim extremists. It is the American way to give people freedom of religion. If we started looking down on certain religions and taking away their rights, where would it end? We need to give all people equal rights under the Constitution.

Again, the irony is that much of Islam considers the Christian West to be the

More irony still, is that both Christianity and Islam grew out of the same Abrahamic religion.
