She should be fired, she lied through deceptive omission, plus she seems incapable of forming cogent sentences, which really should be required from a teacher.

    I think someone else stood in for her interview for the job, because no way that school would’ve hired her in the first place.

    technically it’s a niqab not a burka, but the interviewer should have made the point that the veil is not required by Islam. Veiling was a practice that the Arabs probably adopted from the Persians or from the Byzantines, and is not mentioned in the Qur’an. The veil was basically a status symbol for wealthy noble-women to distinguish themselves from poor women and commoners.
