I watched the entire debate, and only once or twice did the audience ever applaud Sharpton. He should go back to trying to put a leash on free speech (ie: banning the N-word).
“Reverand” Sharpton discussing morality?! Isn’t this the same “Reverand” who made false accusations of rape on behalf of Tawanna Brawley? Why is he even allowed on this panel? Why is he legitimized in this way?
I watched the full 90 minute version of this debate, it’s fantastic.
Hitchens tears Sharpton apart without effort, and I’m pretty sure he was wasted at the time.
One of the better parts of this, is that Sharpton is consistantly trying to stare down Hitchens during his statements/questions as well as during Hitchens’ statements. Where as Hitchens is speaking to the audience the entire time and while Sharpton is speaking Hitchens listens and takes in everything Sharpton is saying while still adressing the audience by facing them and looking in that direction. Makes Sharpton look like a fool.
Christopher Hitchens has cancer. If he doesn’t accept Christ as his personal savior today then he might die unsaved tomorrow. It is so sad that such an intelligent man is speaking against God. He could be my best friend if he was a Christian, but he’s my worst enemy.
Fair enough. Let’s say you are dying of a disease and I tell you that Islam is the only true religion — you’d better reject Christ in favor of Muhammad and change the name of your god to Allah or else you will die unsaved. You will burn in Hell for refusing to acknowledge Allah as the only one true god and the Qu’ran as the only true book to put your faith in.

The funny thing is that never once does Al Sharpton defend his Bible when Hitchens dissects it piece by piece.

Sharpton’s opening comments really don’t follow… “without a supervisor, morality is gone… because everything is moral!”
Hitchens seems to be one of the few people who will full answer any question he is asked with little to no hesitation.

How would you respond to this?

Nice one, Green.
Why am I not surprised this one went unanswered?

Either because this guy was a troll or had left the scene with his tail between his legs after receiving my response.
