Silverman missed a great opportunity to mention, you know, the fucking moon?
But seriously, how is it that O’Reilly managed to use this argument against so many people and never actually been challenged on it?
“Sun goes up, sun comes down. Tide comes in, tide goes out. Never a miscommunication.”
What kind of miscommunication is he worried about? Tide deciding to stay in?
Here, Bill O’Reilly invites Stephen Hawking on to this show to explain how the sun comes up and goes down, how the tide comes in and goes out, and how the earth got here but then says “but of course he can’t [explain it]”.
I have heard him use the term “without interruption, no miscommunications” over and over in reference to this topic–it makes me think that he has a coach that gives him one-liners to use over and over and that he is merely a bully with a really great memory for canned arguments.
