So what’s the objective here? The guy or gal with the most uncoordinated and ridiculously out of step dance moves is the most pious?
C’mon man. The way some of these dumb asses move around, it’s only a matter of time before somebody ends up in the emergency room with a concussion or compound fracture. If this is how it has to be then dammit wear a freaking helmet.
Markus :So what’s the objective here? The guy or gal with the most uncoordinated and ridiculously out of step dance moves is the most pious?
Physical activity increases blood and oxygen flow to the brain and causes the release of dopamine, glutamate, norepinephrine, and serotonin, so all this dancing around essentially gets them feeling ‘high’ and ‘good’, and also increases cognition.
So, they feel euphoric and have increased cognition, which makes them relate the feeling to the location/activity – being in church and ‘feeling the presence of the holy spirit’.
Yes, Didn’t you know ?
The Holy Spirit manifests itself in epileptic seizures, unbridled fits, lapses in consciousness, drug interactions and an occasional gluten allergy.
I love the chick that shoves the guy down about 1:34! (Seriously though, everyone who has ever tried to shove their religion down myh throat has seemed to have a problem with dancing. So, as long as I wave a hanky and do it in church, it’s an expression of the “holy ghost”?? Shoot, using that logic, imagine all the fun we could have under the auspices of “church”. Just sayin.)
I’m sorry, I know competency tests for voting rights have been used, in the past, to disenfranchise blacks and other minorities. However, after seeing this video, I may have to reevaluate my opposition to those tests.
Even scarier than voting issues, some of these people will, or have already reproduced and are indoctrinating their children to act and believe like this.
This has been floating around the internet for some time, with many different manifestations as to musical soundtrack. One in particular I find particulary hilarious…the soundtrack is to techno music, with made up quote balloons. The girl who pushes over the guy at 1:34 has a quote balloon that pops up and says “LOL Double Drop.” I truly was LOL’ing.
My theory with the Pentecostals is they are so fundimental (dress modestly, no dancing/drinking/fun allowed) that this Holy Ghost business is more of a release of pent up energy, frustration, and emotion. I could see how church becomes addictive to this group…it’s their only opportunity to truly express themselves, even if it is in the guise of the Holy Ghost.
This is an older blog post, but this story cracks me up as well. I love the quote “The Holy Ghost was so fucking cool. It made the adults look like idiots!”
The worrying thing for me here is that there is a guy on the floor who just really might be having an epileptic seizure but nobody will help him because they are too busy with their holy ghost retardness. Honestly people, they should get a life. And the comment about wearing helmets is spot on!

As amazing as this is, they have nothing on a Doyle Davidson sermon, choir singing, and ring of ladies dancing. This vid here is funny but the Davidson congregation is truly disturbing.

I sooo know what you mean. In my head, this little voice keeps going: “It’s a bad idea, it’s a bad idea… no, no, maybe it’s not such a bad idea.”
